Privacy Policy
iFrequencies (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit ifrequencies.com or engage our services, how we use and safeguard that information, and the rights you have over it. By using our website you acknowledge the practices described below.
1. Who We Are
iFrequencies is a sonic identity, music direction and talent curation consultancy based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law (including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, the EU/UK GDPR where it applies, and similar regulations), iFrequencies is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website and in the course of our engagements.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is necessary to operate our website, respond to inquiries, deliver our services and comply with our legal obligations. This includes:
- Information you provide directly — name, email address, phone number, company or venue name, and the details of any message, brief or request you submit via our contact forms, email, WhatsApp or scheduling tools.
- Engagement information — correspondence, proposals, contracts, invoices and project notes associated with a paid or prospective engagement.
- Technical information — IP address, device type, browser type and version, referring URL, pages viewed and timestamps, collected through standard server logs maintained by our hosting provider for security, troubleshooting and aggregate traffic monitoring.
- Cookies and similar technologies — our website currently uses only strictly necessary, first-party storage required for the site to function correctly (e.g. remembering your preferences during a session). We do not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site identifiers. See section 7 below.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data to:
- respond to inquiries and provide information you request;
- prepare proposals, contracts and deliverables under an engagement;
- communicate about ongoing projects, scheduling and invoicing;
- improve the security, performance and content of our website;
- comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictions;
- defend our legal rights where necessary.
We will never sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR (or an equivalent regime) applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to deliver our services or take steps prior to entering into a contract with you;
- Legitimate interests — to run, secure and improve our business in a way that does not override your rights;
- Legal obligation — where we are required by law to retain or disclose information;
- Consent — for any future analytics, marketing or other non-essential processing, which you may withdraw at any time.
5. Sharing Your Information
We share personal data only when necessary and only with parties bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Recipients may include:
- cloud and hosting providers (e.g. Google Firebase / Google Cloud) used to operate the website and store engagement records;
- email, calendar and messaging providers used to communicate with you;
- professional advisors such as accountants, auditors and lawyers;
- government, regulatory or law-enforcement authorities where disclosure is legally required.
Some of these providers operate outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards permitted under applicable law.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Engagement records are typically retained for at least the duration required by UAE commercial and tax law. Inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period.
7. Cookies, Analytics & Tracking
We intentionally take a minimal approach to tracking. As of the date of this policy, ifrequencies.com does not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels, behavioural profiling or third-party tracking technologies. The only client-side storage we rely on is strictly necessary for the website to operate (for example, remembering your preferences within a session). You can clear or block this storage in your browser at any time without losing access to the site.
If we ever introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this Privacy Policy, clearly disclose the technologies used, and request your prior consent through a cookie banner before any such cookies are set.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls and least-privilege permissions — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet is, however, completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of your personal data where there is no overriding legal reason for us to retain it;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
- request a portable copy of the data you provided to us;
- lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party sites and platforms (artists' social media, partner venues, booking tools, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; we encourage you to review their own privacy notices.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements or business operations. The “Last updated” date below indicates when the policy was most recently revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
